Hey there, I’m Jeffrey Weese, a proud Trenton, Ontario native from the heart of Canada. I’m happily married and a dad to four incredible kids who never fail to surprise me. My life is a rollercoaster of outdoor escapades, hunting, fishing (though hunting has a special place in my heart), martial arts, fitness, and savouring tasty food and drinks.
I see myself as a jack-of-all-trades, master of none, but that just keeps life interesting, doesn’t it? My background includes formal education in culinary arts and restaurant management. But, I went a different direction and spent over two decades navigating the riveting world of payroll accounting. However, in 2020, I boldly switched gears and plunged into Information Management and Technology, specializing in data and asset integrity. Talk about a wild career ride!
When I’m not crunching numbers or deciphering data, you’ll find me immersed in martial arts. I’m a proud black belt in Chito-Ryu Karate, trained under Sensei Bob and Sensei Bev Leonard at Trent Valley Jiu-Jitsu and Karate, and later earning my black belt with Sensei Monty Guest in Chito-Ryu through Kai-Shin Karate. But wait, there’s more! I also boast a black belt in Canadian Jiu-Jitsu. Yeah, you could say I have a thing for martial arts and belts… or keeping my pants up!
Speaking of martial arts, I have another blog called Fighting Spirit Martial Arts, where I delve into a whole lot more martial arts-related information. You can check it out at https://fightingspirit.wordpress.weesefamily.ca.
My curiosity is insatiable, and I adore researching and learning about just about anything. Writing about these discoveries is the cherry on top, and that’s where my personal blog, “Journals of a Madman,” comes in. It’s a delightful hodgepodge of all my diverse interests, with a dash of madness thrown in for good measure.
I firmly believe there’s goodness in all things and all people; sometimes, you just need to squint a little or change your perspective to see it. So, come join me as I venture through life’s many twists and turns with my slightly off-kilter blog, “Journals of a Madman.” You never know what you might stumble upon!
